Inspect Engine Oil Temperature Sensor: Notes

NOTE:

• The engine oil temperature sensor and the engine oil pressure sensor cannot be removed as a single unit. If the engine oil temperature sensor or engine oil pressure sensor is replaced, replace the engine oil temperature sensor/engine oil pressure sensor. (See ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR/ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [H3T] ).
• Perform the procedure with the engine oil temperature/engine oil pressure sensor connector disconnected. (See ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR/ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [H3T] ).

1. Measure the resistance between engine oil temperature sensor/engine oil pressure sensor terminals A-D.

• If not within the standard, replace the engine oil temperature sensor/engine oil pressure sensor. (See ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR/ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [H3T] ).
