Back-up current
CAUTION:
- Do not apply an electrical load when measuring the back-up current as this may cause damage.
- Remove the negative sub-battery cable.
- Switch the ignition/main power OFF.
- Connect a tester between the negative sub-battery terminal and the negative sub-battery cable.NOTE:
- A high value (approx. 20 mA or more) is displayed if the measurement is made without leaving the ignition/main power switched OFF for 30 s or more.
- Leave the sub-battery for 30 s or more.
- Measure the sub-battery back-up current and verify that the current is the standard or less.
- If not within the standard, inspect the backup power supply unit. (See BACKUP POWER SUPPLY UNIT INSPECTION .)
