Shift Panel Removal/Installation
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the selector lever knob. (See SELECTOR LEVER COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the console side panel. (See CONSOLE SIDE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Move the shift panel in the order of arrows (1), (2), and (3) shown in the figure below and detach the clips.
- Disconnect the connectors.
- Remove the shift panel.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.NOTE:
- When replacing the shift panel, remove the following parts:
- Commander switch (See COMMANDER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Electric parking brake switch (See ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Mazda intelligent drive select (Mi-Drive) switch (See Mazda intelligent Drive Select (Mi-Drive) SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- When replacing the shift panel, remove the following parts:
