Steering Switch Removal/Installation

WARNING:

Handling the driver-side air bag module improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bag module, which may seriously injure you. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
Remove the following parts:
1. Driver-side air bag module (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL (US/CANADA) .) (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM - US/CANADA SPEC.] .)
2. Steering wheel bezel (See STEERING WHEEL BEZEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
3. Steering wheel (See STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
4. Steering shift switch (With steering shift switch) (See STEERING SHIFT SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FW6A-EL, FW6AX-EL] .) (See STEERING SHIFT SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [GW6AX-EL] .)
5. Steering wheel cover (See STEERING WHEEL COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
While pressing tabs A and tabs B from the back of the steering wheel, move the steering switch in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure below to detach tabs A and tabs B from the steering wheel.

Remove the steering switch.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
