DTC U0415-68: Error Signal Received From Electronically Controlled Brake Unit/DSC HU/Cm

U0415-68: (VCM) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location Error signal received from electronically controlled brake unit/DSC HU/CM
Detection condition
  • When any of the following conditions is met.
    • The vehicle control module (VCM) receives the error signal from the electronically controlled brake unit/DSC HU/CM.
    • The vehicle control module (VCM) detects that the brake signals between electronically controlled brake unit/DSC HU/CM and the following modules did not match during brake pedal operation while the vehicle is being driven.
      • ECM (e-SKYACTIV PHEV)/PCM (except e-SKYACTIV PHEV)
      • Front radar sensor
      • Body control module (BCM)
    • The vehicle control module (VCM) detects that a fail-safe is operated based on a deceleration request while the vehicle is being driven.
Fail-safe (See DTC TABLE [VCM] .)
Possible cause
  1. Internal malfunction related DTCs are stored in the following modules.
  2. DTCs are stored in the following modules.
  3. ECM (e-SKYACTIV PHEV)/PCM (except e-SKYACTIV PHEV) malfunction (Refer to PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G (WITH CYLINDER DEACTIVATION)] , or PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T] in service information.)
  4. Electronically controlled brake unit/DSC HU/CM malfunction (Refer to [ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] in service information.) (Refer to DSC HU/CM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION in service information.)
  5. Vehicle control module (VCM) malfunction (built into body control module (BCM)) (Refer to BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION in service information.)
Repeatability verification procedure
  1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC .)
  2. Operate the brake pedal while the vehicle is being driven.
