WIRELESS CHARGER (Qi) DISABLING PROCEDURE

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Shift lever knob (MTX) (See SHIFT LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [C66M-R] .)
    2. Selector lever knob (ATX) (See SELECTOR LEVER COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Shift panel (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Front console box (See FRONT CONSOLE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Wireless charger (Qi) component (See WIRELESS CHARGER (Qi) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Wrap cushioning tape around the connector.
    NOTE:
    • To prevent interference between the disconnected connector and the vehicle interior, wrap commercially available cushioning tape (length: 80 mm {3.1 in} x width: 50 mm {1.97 in} x thickness: 5 mm {0.2 in}) around the connector.

  4. Secure the wiring harness with the band at the position shown in the figure below.

  5. Install the following parts:
    1. Wireless charger (Qi) component (See WIRELESS CHARGER (Qi) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Front console box (See FRONT CONSOLE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Shift panel (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Selector lever knob (ATX) (See SELECTOR LEVER COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Shift lever knob (MTX) (See SHIFT LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [C66M-R] .)
  6. Connect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
