DTC U212D-87: Communication Error With Light Control Module (RH)

U212D-87: (ALH/AFS/ALV) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location	Communication error with light control module (RH)
Detection condition	The auto leveling control module/adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module/adaptive LED headlights control module cannot receive CAN signal from the light control module (RH).
Fail-safe	Control of the headlight auto leveling system is continued. Turn off adaptive LED headlights. (with adaptive LED headlights) Control of front combination light (LH) except for adaptive LED headlights is continued. (with adaptive LED headlights) Set wide-range low beam as basic light distribution. (with adaptive LED headlights)
Possible cause	Malfunction in CAN communication line between light control module (RH) and auto leveling control module/adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module/adaptive LED headlights control module NOTE: Perform the malfunction diagnosis according to the troubleshooting procedure for the multiplex communication system. (See MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN)] .)
