DTC P0616-29: Downstream Side Of Starter Relay Signal Malfunction [Start Stop Unit]: Notes

DTC P0616:29 (START STOP UNIT) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

Description Downstream side of starter relay signal malfunction
Detection condition
  • Start stop unit detects that the following signals are unmatched for 0.5 s or more for a continuous 5 times.
    • Transmission range switch (AT)/starter interlock switch (MT) condition
    • Starter relay downstream circuit condition
    • PCM control result
    • CAN signal condition output from PCM
Fail-safe Not applicable
Possible cause
  • DTCs are stored in the PCM.
  • PCM malfunction
  • Start stop unit malfunction
