DTC C0051:95 (START STOP UNIT) DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step	Inspection		Action
1	VERIFY ELECTRIC POWER STEERING (EPS) CONTROL MODULE DTCs Retrieve the electric power steering (EPS) control module DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [EPS CONTROL MODULE] .) Are any DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [EPS CONTROL MODULE] .)
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	VERIFY STEERING ANGLE SENSOR INSTALLATION CONDITION Verify the steering angle sensor installation condition. (See CLOCK SPRING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM - US/CANADA SPEC.] .) Is the steering angle sensor installed correctly?	Yes	Go to the next step.
2		No	Install the steering angle sensor correctly, then go to the next step. (See CLOCK SPRING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM - US/CANADA SPEC.] .)
3	VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED Clear the DTC for the start stop unit using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [START STOP UNIT] .) Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 1 s or more. Retrieve the start stop unit DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [START STOP UNIT] .) Is the same Pending DTC present?	Yes	Replace the start stop unit, then go to the next step. (See START STOP UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
3		No	Go to the next step.
4	VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [START STOP UNIT] .)
4		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
