Quarter Window Glass Removal

Replacement parts 

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
2. Remove the following parts:
   1. Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
   2. Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
   3. C-pillar trim (See C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
   4. D-pillar trim (See D-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
   5. Trunk side trim (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
3. Cut the quarter window glass molding.

4. Apply protective tape along the edges of the body panel and quarter window glass.
   NOTE:

   • Overlap and apply the protective tape to the corners to prevent damage to the body panel.

5. Cut the end of the piano wire diagonally.

   WARNING:

   • Using piano wire with bare hands can cause injury. Always wear gloves when using piano wire.
6. Pass the piano wire from the cabin side through the sealant.

7. Wind each end of the piano wire around a bar.
   NOTE:

   • Since the piano wire can easily break if it is heated locally, cool it or change the area used as you cut the sealant.
8. Secure one end of the piano wire and cut the quarter window glass sealant and the pin as you pull the other end of the piano wire.

9. Remove the quarter window glass.
10. Remove the pin from the body panel.
11. Remove the fastener.
