Not P Position Switch Inspection
NOTE:
- The not P position switch is built into the selector lever component.
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION ).
- Remove the following parts:
- Selector lever knob (See SELECTOR LEVER COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Console side panel (See CONSOLE SIDE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Switch panel (See SWITCH PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Cup holder (See CUP HOLDER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Shift panel (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Front console box (See FRONT CONSOLE BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Side wall (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Rear console (See REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Disconnect the selector lever component connector.
- Verify that the continuity between selector lever component terminals B and G.
- If not as verified, replace the selector lever component. (See SELECTOR LEVER COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
NOT P POSITION SWITCH SPECIFICATION
