Keyless Receiver Inspection: Notes

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION ).
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
    2. Bass box (With Bose ®) (See BASS-BOX REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
    3. Sub-trunk (See SUB-TRUNK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
    4. Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
    5. Trunk side trim (RH) (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  3. Remove the keyless receiver with the connector still connected. (See KEYLESS RECEIVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  4. Connect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION ).
  5. Verify that the voltages of each of the terminals are as indicated in the terminal voltage table (reference).
    • If the voltage is not as specified in the terminal voltage table (reference), inspect the parts under Inspection item(s) and related wiring harnesses.
    • If the system does not operate normally even though the parts under Inspection Item(s) and related wiring harnesses do not have any malfunction, replace the keyless receiver.
