DTC B1026:87 (BODY CONTROL MODULE) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location	Communication error between body control module (BCM) and steering lock unit
Detection condition	The body control module (BCM) cannot receive the signals from the steering lock unit.
Fail-safe	Not applicable
Possible cause	Steering lock unit connector or terminal malfunction Body control module (BCM) connector or terminal malfunction Short to ground in steering lock unit ground circuit Open circuit in steering lock unit ground circuit Short to ground in steering lock unit power supply circuit Open circuit in steering lock unit power supply circuit Malfunction in CAN communication line between body control module (BCM) and steering lock unit. Steering lock unit malfunction Body control module (BCM) malfunction
