Auto Leveling Sensor Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. While pressing the clip A tabs in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure, press the clip A in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the clip A tabs from the auto leveling sensor.

  3. While pressing the clip B tabs in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure, press the clip B in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the clip B tabs from the auto leveling sensor.
  4. Disconnect the connector.
  5. Remove the nut.
  6. Remove the bolt.
  7. Pull out the hook from the rear crossmember.

  8. Pull out the stud bolt from the lower lateral link and remove the auto leveling sensor.
  9. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  10. Perform headlight auto leveling system initialization. (See HEADLIGHT AUTO LEVELING SYSTEM INITIALIZATION .)
