Steering Shift Switch Inspection
WARNING:
- Handling the driver-side air bag module improperly can accidentally deploy the air bag module, which may seriously injure you. - Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)

- Disconnect the steering shift switch wiring harness connector.
- Remove the column cover. (See COLUMN COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Using a precision flathead screwdriver, release the tab.
- Measure the continuity between steering shift switch wiring harness connector terminals A-B and terminals D-E.

- If there is any malfunction, replace the steering shift switch. (See STEERING SHIFT SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
