Power Window Motor Inspection: Passenger-side
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the power window subswitch. (See POWER WINDOW SUBSWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the door trim. (Passenger-side) (See DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Disconnect the power window motor connector.
- Apply battery positive voltage and connect the ground to power window motor terminals G and A, and then inspect the power window motor operation.POWER WINDOW MOTOR INSPECTION - PASSENGER SIDE
B+ Terminal Ground Terminal Operation G A Close A G Open - If the power window motor does not operate as indicated in the table, replace it. (See POWER WINDOW REGULATOR DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY .)
- Connect the power window motor connector.
- Connect the power window subswitch connector. (See POWER WINDOW SUBSWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Connect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Operate the power window motor and verify the wave patterns for terminals B and F.
- Terminal: B (+), F (+) ↔ ground (-)
- Oscilloscope setting: 2 V/DIV (Y), 1 ms/DIV (X), DC range
- If the malfunction, replace the power window motor. (See POWER WINDOW REGULATOR DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY .)
