Front Header Trim Removal/Installation: Notes

  1. Using the retractable hardtop switch, keep the front roof half-open. (retractable hardtop)

  2. Open the convertible top. (convertible top)
  3. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  4. Remove the A-pillar trim. (See A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Remove the female wedge. (See FEMALE WEDGE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  6. Remove the screws.

  7. Move the front header trim in the order of arrows (1), (2) and (3) shown in the figure and remove it while detaching the clips.

  8. Disconnect the map light connector.
  9. Remove the map light when replacing the front header trim. (See MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  10. Install in the reverse order of removal. (See FRONT HEADER TRIM INSTALLATION NOTE .)
