Hood Latch Removal/Installation

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
2. Remove the following parts:
   1. Seal board upper (See SEAL BOARD UPPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
   2. Front bumper (See FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL .) (See FRONT BUMPER INSTALLATION .)
   3. Horn (See HORN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
   4. Shroud upper member (See SHROUD UPPER MEMBER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
3. Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the position shown in the figure.

4. Move the tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure to press the hood latch protector tab, and lift the tab up in the direction of arrow (2) and detach its tab from the hood latch.
5. Detach all the hood latch protector tabs from the hood latch and remove the hood latch protector.
6. While pressing the tabs of the clip in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, press it in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the connector tabs from the body.

7. Remove the connector antenna from the body.
8. Disconnect the connector.
9. Disconnect the hood release cable.

10. Remove the bolts.
11. Remove the hood latch. (See HOOD LATCH INSTALLATION NOTE .)
12. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Hood latch Installation Note

• Refer to [HOOD ADJUSTMENT] and adjust the hood latch so that the height difference and gap of the hood is within the specification. (See HOOD ADJUSTMENT .)
