Rear Console Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the following parts:
    1. Selector lever knob (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    2. Shift panel (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Console side panel (See CONSOLE SIDE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Front console (See FRONT CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    5. Side wall (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. Move the rear console panel in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure, and detach clips A and clips B.

  4. Disconnect the connector and remove the harness clip

  5. Remove the rear heat duct No. 1. (See REAR HEAT DUCT No. 1 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  6. Disconnect the connectors.

  7. Remove the harness clips.

  8. Remove the bolts.
  9. Remove the bolts.

  10. Pull the rear console in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove it while detaching the clips.

  11. Install in the reverse order of removal.
