Rear Splash Shield Removal/Installation: Notes

  1. Affix the protective tape to the position shown in the figure to prevent scratches and damage.

  2. Insert a tape-wrapped flat head screwdriver into the position shown in the figure.

  3. Move the tape-wrapped flat head screwdriver in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure and remove the rear over fender fastener in the direction of arrow (2). (See Rear Splash Shield Installation Note .)
  4. Remove the fastener.

  5. Move the remover tool in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach the clips of the rear over fender from the rear bumper.

  6. Move the remover tool in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach the clip of the rear over fender from the rear fender panel.

  7. Remove the screws and fasteners.

  8. Remove the cap nut.
  9. Pull the rear splash shield in the direction of the arrows shown in the figure and detach the rear splash shield tabs.

  10. Remove the rear splash shield.
  11. Install in the reverse order of removal.
