Microphone Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the front map light. (See FRONT MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. While pressing the microphone tabs in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure using a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver, pull the microphone in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure to detach the microphone tabs from the map light.

  4. While pulling the microphone tab in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull the microphone in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure to detach the microphone tab from the map light.

  5. Remove the microphone.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
