Side Turn Light Inspection

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the outer mirror glass. (See OUTER MIRROR GLASS REMOVAL .) (See OUTER MIRROR GLASS INSTALLATION .)
  3. Remove the upper outer mirror garnish. (See OUTER MIRROR GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Remove the lower outer mirror garnish. (See OUTER MIRROR GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Remove the side turn light. (See SIDE TURN LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  6. Apply battery voltage to side turn light terminal A, and connect terminal B to ground.

  7. Verify that the LED illuminates.
  8. Remove the front door trim. (See FRONT DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  9. Remove the power outer mirror connector. (See POWER OUTER MIRROR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  10. Verify that the continuity between side turn light terminal and power outer mirror terminal is as indicated in the table.
