Front Drive Shaft Removal/Installation: Notes

CAUTION:

Performing the following procedures could cause an open circuit in the front ABS wheel-speed sensor wiring harness if it is pulled by mistake. Before servicing, disconnect the front ABS wheel-speed sensor and set it aside so that the wiring harness will not be pulled by mistake.

Remove the front ABS wheel-speed sensor from the steering knuckle.

Remove the front ABS wheel-speed sensor wiring harness from the front shock absorber and set it aside so that it does not interfere with the servicing.

Remove front under cover No. 2. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No. 2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Remove the front splash shield. (See FRONT SPLASH SHIELD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Drain the ATF. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID (ATF) REPLACEMENT [EW6A-EL/EW6AX-EL] .)
Remove in the order shown in the figure.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Refill the ATF. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID (ATF) REPLACEMENT [EW6A-EL/EW6AX-EL] .)
