Vacuum Line Inspection

  1. Remove the following parts as a single unit. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0] .)
    • Fresh-air duct
    • Resonance chamber
    • Air hose
    • Air cleaner cover
    • Air cleaner element
    • Air cleaner case
  2. Remove the battery and battery tray. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0] .)
  3. Remove the vacuum hose. (See VACUUM HOSE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Verify that air can be blown from the power brake unit side of the vacuum hose towards the vacuum pump side, and that air cannot be blown in the opposite direction.
