Vacuum Hose Removal/Installation: Notes

  1. Remove the following parts as a single unit. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0] .)
    • Fresh-air duct
    • Resonance chamber
    • Air hose
    • Air cleaner cover
    • Air cleaner element
    • Air cleaner case
  2. Remove the battery and battery tray. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0] .)
  3. Pinch open the clamp using pliers and disconnect the vacuum hose.

  4. Detach the vacuum hose from the clip.

  5. Pinch open the clamp using pliers and disconnect the vacuum hose.

  6. Remove the vacuum hose.
  7. Install in the reverse order of removal. (See VACUUM HOSE INSTALLATION NOTE .)
