WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 Mazda CX-3. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION:
- Do not select "Flexible" under the following driving conditions.
- The vehicle is used as a police car, taxi, or for driving instruction.
- The vehicle is driven under dusty conditions.
- The vehicle is idled or driven at low speeds for extended periods.
Using M-MDS
- Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
- After vehicle identification is completed, select the following from the M-MDS initial screen.
- "Powertrain"
- "Engine Oil Maintenance Monitor"
- "Change setting"
- Select "ON*1" or "OFF" from the M-MDS screen.
*1When oil inspection/replacement is set to "ON", the engine oil deterioration condition is calculated based on the frequency of engine starts and the distance travelled. Because the engine oil deterioration condition cannot be calculated correctly if engine oil other than Mazda genuine oil (0W-20) or Castrol oil (0W-20) is used, use Mazda genuine oil (0W-20) or Castrol oil (0W-20) when setting the oil inspection/replacement to "ON".
Using center display
- Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
- Select [Applications] on the center display.
