Crash Zone Sensor Removal/Installation: Passenger-side: Notes

- Switch the ignition off.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more. Refer to NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Bend back the front over fender. Refer to FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL .) Refer to FRONT BUMPER INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the front bumper. Refer to FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL .) Refer to FRONT BUMPER INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the cover.
- Remove the bolt.
- Disconnect the connector. Refer to CONNECTOR DISCONNECT NOTE .)
- Remove the crash zone sensor.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
- Verify that the air bag/seat belt pre-tensioner system warning light illuminates for approx. 6 s
and turns off.
- If the air bag/seat belt pre-tensioner system warning light does not operate normally, refer to the on-board diagnostic system (air bag system) and perform inspection of the system. Refer to FLOWCHART [SAS CONTROL MODULE (TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM)] .)
