Function Explanation (DTC Detection Outline)
- The PCM detects pre-ignition for each cylinder based on the ion sensor signal. If pre-ignition is detected continuously, even though pre-ignition is detected and engine output is restricted by the fuel injection control and the variable valve timing control, the PCM stores a DTC.
