| 2 | VERIFY RELATED REPAIR INFORMATION AVAILABILITY
|
Yes | Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available repair information.

| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 3 | INSPECT BRAKE SWITCH CONNECTOR CONDITION
|
Yes | Repair or replace the connector and/or terminals, then go to Step 10. |
| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 4 | INSPECT BRAKE SWITCH NO. 1 POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO GROUND OR OPEN CIRCUIT
|
Yes | Go to the next step. |
| No | Inspect the MAIN 200 A fuse and STOP 10 A fuse.
If there is a common connector:
If there is no common connector:
If there is a common connector:
If there is no common connector:
Go to Step 10. |

| 5 | INSPECT BRAKE SWITCH NO. 1 SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO GROUND
|
Yes | Disconnect the PCM connector and inspect the wiring harness for short to ground.
If there is a common connector:
If there is no common connector:
Go to Step 10. |
| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 6 | INSPECT PCM CONNECTOR CONDITION
|
Yes | Repair or replace the connector and/or terminals, then go to Step 10. |
| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 7 | INSPECT BRAKE SWITCH NO. 1 SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY
|
Yes | Go to the next step. |
| No | Refer to the wiring diagram and verify whether or not there is a common connector between brake switch terminal D and PCM terminal 2G. If there is a common connector:
Go to Step 10. |

| 8 | INSPECT BRAKE SWITCH NO. 1 SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR OPEN CIRCUIT

Yes | Go to the next step. |
| No | Refer to the wiring diagram and verify whether or not there is a common connector between brake switch terminal D and PCM terminal 2G. If there is a common connector:
If there is no common connector:
Go to Step 10. |

| 9 | INSPECT BRAKE SWITCH NO. 1
|
Yes | Replace the brake switch, then go to the next step. (See BRAKE PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .) |
| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 10 | VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED
|
Yes | Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
Go to the next step. |
| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 11 | VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE

Yes | Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE .) |
| No | DTC troubleshooting completed. | ||

Yes | Disconnect the PCM connector and inspect the wiring harness for short to ground.
If there is a common connector:
If there is no common connector:

| 6 | INSPECT PCM CONNECTOR CONDITION

Yes | Repair or replace the connector and/or terminals, then go to Step 10. |
| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 7 | INSPECT BRAKE SWITCH NO. 1 SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY
|
Yes | Go to the next step. |
| No | Refer to the wiring diagram and verify whether or not there is a common connector between brake switch terminal D and PCM terminal 2AB. If there is a common connector:
If there is no common connector:
Go to Step 10. |

| 8 | INSPECT BRAKE SWITCH NO. 1 SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR OPEN CIRCUIT

Yes | Go to the next step. |
| No | Refer to the wiring diagram and verify whether or not there is a common connector between brake switch terminal D and PCM terminal 2AB. If there is a common connector:
If there is no common connector:
Go to Step 10. |

| 9 | INSPECT BRAKE SWITCH NO. 1
|
Yes | Replace the brake switch, then go to the next step. (See BRAKE PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .) |
| No | Go to the next step. | ||
| 10 | VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED
|
Yes | Repeat the inspection from Step 1.

| 11 | VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE
