Courtesy Light Removal/Installation: Rear

- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- To prevent scratches or damage, affix protective tape to the position shown in the figure below.CAUTION:
- If a flathead screwdriver is inserted into the gap between the front door trim and rear courtesy light, the front door trim could interfere with the flathead screwdriver and be damaged. When removing the rear courtesy light from the front door trim, perform the procedure after affixing protective tape to the front door trim.
- Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the service hole in the position shown in the figure below.
- Move the flathead screwdriver in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure below to detach the rear courtesy light tabs from the rear door trim.
- Move the rear courtesy light in the direction of the arrow (1), (2) and remove the rear courtesy light.
- Disconnect the connector.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
