ACTIVE DRIVING DISPLAY DOES NOT DIM AUTOMATICALLY DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step	Inspection		Action
1	VISUALLY INSPECT ACTIVE DRIVING DISPLAY Switch the ignition ON (engine on). Visually inspect the display device or the reflection part of the active driving display for dust or dirt. Is there any dust or dirt on the active driving display?	Yes	Remove any dust or dirt on the active driving display.
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	VISUALLY INSPECT PHOTO SENSOR Switch the ignition off. Visually inspect the photo sensor part for dust or dirt. Is there any dust or dirt on the photo sensor part?	Yes	Remove any dust or dirt on the photo sensor part.
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	DETERMINE IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS PHOTO SENSOR Shine light on the photo sensor part of the active driving display and inspect. Does the active driving display dim automatically?	Yes	Go to the next step.
3		No	Replace the active driving display. (See ACTIVE DRIVING DISPLAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
4	VERIFY IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS CORRECTED Is the active driving display operating normally?	Yes	Troubleshooting completed (explain the contents of the servicing to the customer).
4		No	Verify the malfunction symptom in the symptom troubleshooting chart and perform the other applicable malfunction diagnosis.
