Microphone Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Remove the front map light. (See MAP LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  3. While pressing tabs A of the microphone in the direction of the arrows (1) shown in the figure using a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver, pull the microphone in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure to detach tabs A of the microphone from the front map light.

  4. While pulling tab B of the microphone in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull the microphone in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure to detach tab B of the microphone from the front map light.

  5. Remove the microphone.
  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
