DTC B1B57-49: Malfunction In Power Supply To Ultrasonic Sensor [Vehicle Control Module]: Outline

DTC B1B57:49 [VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE] DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location Malfunction in power supply to ultrasonic sensor
Detection condition
NOTE:
  • DTC B1B57:49 is detected even if rear ultrasonic sensor-related malfunction occurred.
  • The vehicle control module (VCM) detects that the parking assist unit (ultrasonic) determined that there is a malfunction in power supply to the ultrasonic sensor for 10 s.
Fail-safe (See DTC TABLE [VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE (US)] .)
Possible cause
  • Parking assist unit (ultrasonic) connector or terminal malfunction
  • Front bumper malfunction
  • Front ultrasonic sensor connector or terminal malfunction
  • Short to ground in front ultrasonic sensor power supply circuit
  • Open circuit in front ultrasonic sensor power supply circuit
  • Front ultrasonic sensor malfunction
  • Parking assist unit (ultrasonic) malfunction
  • Vehicle control module (VCM) malfunction (built into body control module (BCM))
