DTC B14F4-4B: Ambient Temperature Abnormality (High Temperature) [Vehicle Control Module]: Outline

DTC B14F4:4B [VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE] DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location Ambient temperature abnormality (high temperature)
Detection condition
  • The vehicle control module (VCM) detects that the parking assist unit (ultrasonic) determined that the ambient temperature output from the PCM is higher than 85°C {185°F} for 15 s.
Fail-safe (See DTC TABLE [VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE (US)] .)
Possible cause
  • PCM malfunction
  • Parking assist unit (ultrasonic) malfunction
  • Ambient temperature is high.
  • Vehicle control module (VCM) malfunction (built into body control module (BCM))
