DTC P2BF6-00: Exhaust Shutter Valve Position Sensor Circuit Low Input: Outline

DTC P2BF6:00 (PCM, VINs 7, L, M) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location Exhaust shutter valve position sensor circuit low input
Detection condition
  • If the input voltage at the PCM terminal 1P is less than 0.107 V for 5 s, the PCM determines that the exhaust shutter valve position sensor circuit has a malfunction.

Precondition
  • Battery voltage: 8 V or more
Fail-safe
  • PCM restricts engine torque.
Possible cause
  • Exhaust shutter valve connector or terminals malfunction
  • PCM connector or terminals malfunction
  • Short to ground in exhaust shutter valve position sensor following circuits:
  • Power supply circuit
  • Signal circuit
  • Short circuit in exhaust shutter valve position sensor signal circuit and ground circuit
  • Open circuit in exhaust shutter valve position sensor following circuits:
  • Power supply circuit
  • Signal circuit
  • Exhaust shutter valve position sensor (built-into exhaust shutter valve) malfunction
  • PCM malfunction
