DTC P2BF6-00: Exhaust Shutter Valve Position Sensor Circuit Low Input: Outline

DTC P2BF6:00 (PCM, VINs 7, L, M) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location	Exhaust shutter valve position sensor circuit low input
Detection condition	If the input voltage at the PCM terminal 1P is less than 0.107 V for 5 s, the PCM determines that the exhaust shutter valve position sensor circuit has a malfunction. Precondition Battery voltage: 8 V or more
Fail-safe	PCM restricts engine torque.
Possible cause	Exhaust shutter valve connector or terminals malfunction PCM connector or terminals malfunction Short to ground in exhaust shutter valve position sensor following circuits: Power supply circuit Signal circuit Short circuit in exhaust shutter valve position sensor signal circuit and ground circuit Open circuit in exhaust shutter valve position sensor following circuits: Power supply circuit Signal circuit Exhaust shutter valve position sensor (built-into exhaust shutter valve) malfunction PCM malfunction
