Windshield Wiper Arm And Blade Removal/Installation: Notes

Open the hood.
Disconnect the windshield washer hose C and D. (See WINDSHIELD WASHER HOSE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (US) .)
CAUTION:
- If excessive force is applied when removing the cap, the tabs could break. Carefully remove the cap.
Carefully pull the cap up in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the figure while slightly shaking it, and detach the cap from the windshield wiper arm.

Remove the cap from the windshield wiper arm by pulling the cap in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure.
CAUTION:
- If the windshield wiper arm is pulled up with the nut completely removed, the windshield wiper arm could contact the hood when it is removed. Always pull up the windshield wiper arm with the nut not completely removed.
While pressing the windshield wiper arm as shown in the figure, loosen the nut without completely removing it.

Pull the windshield wiper arm up to the loosened nut.

Remove the nut.
Remove the windshield wiper arm. (See WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM INSTALLATION NOTE .)
Install in the reverse order of removal.
When replacing the driver's windshield wiper arm and blade, perform the windshield wiper arm and blade initial setting. (See WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE INITIAL SETTING .)
