DTC C1105-62: Brake Light Control Signal Mismatch [Vehicle Control Module (Us)]: Outline

DTC C1105:62 [VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE (US)] DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location Brake light control signal mismatch
Detection condition
  • The vehicle control module (VCM) detects that the brake light illumination request signal received from the DSC HU/CM and the brake light illumination condition signal received from the electrical supply unit (ESU) do not match for 10 s. Precondition
  • Brake pedal is being operated
Fail-safe (See DTC TABLE [VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE (US)] .)
Possible cause
  • Electrical supply unit (ESU) malfunction
    • Brake light illumination condition signal error
  • DSC HU/CM malfunction
    • Brake light illumination request signal error
  • Vehicle control module (VCM) malfunction (built into body control module (BCM))
