DTC B14F2-97: Radar Sensor Sensitivity Decreases Depending On Various External And Environmental Factors [Vehicle Control Module]: Outline

DTC B14F2:97 [VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE] DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location Radar sensor sensitivity decreases depending on various external and environmental factors
Detection condition
  • The vehicle control module (VCM) detects that the rear side radar sensor (LH) or (RH) internal radar sensor sensitivity has decreased and the related system is obstructed for 15 min.
Fail-safe (See DTC TABLE [VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE (US)] .)
Possible cause
  • Rear bumper malfunction
    • Damage (including repairs using putty application)
    • Dirt
    • Application of stickers (including transparent types)
    • Freezing
  • Rear bumper poor installation
  • Rear side radar sensor poor installation
  • Rear side radar sensor (RH) malfunction
  • Rear side radar sensor (LH) malfunction
  • Vehicle control module (VCM) malfunction (built into body control module (BCM))
