DTC B14F0-92: General Temporary Failure In Forward Sensing Camera (FSC) [Vehicle Control Module]: Outline

DTC B14F0:92 [VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE] DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location General temporary failure in forward sensing camera (FSC)
Detection condition
  • The vehicle control module (VCM) detects that the general temporary failure in forward sensing camera (FSC) for a certain period of time.
  • This occurs due to various external and internal factors.
Fail-safe (See DTC TABLE [VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE (US)] .)
Possible cause
  • Windshield dirty
  • Forward sensing camera (FSC) lens is dirty
  • Driving in heavy rain, fog, or snow, or driving towards the sun
  • Driving on roads with no traffic lane lines or faded/patchy traffic lane lines
  • Running vehicle on chassis dynamometer
  • CALIBRATING yaw rate for vehicle control module (VCM) not implemented or error
  • Forward sensing camera (FSC) malfunction
    • Forward sensing camera (FSC) aiming not performed
    • Forward sensing camera (FSC) aiming adjustment malfunction
    • Forward sensing camera (FSC) optical axis deviation
  • Vehicle control module (VCM) malfunction (built into body control module (BCM))
NOTE:
  • A DTC may be output due to a temporary characteristic deterioration by driving in an environment with poor visibility.
  • When running the vehicle on a chassis dynamometer even though the vehicle speed is high, DTCs may be detected because the amount of change in the images at the front of the vehicle shot by the Forward Sensing Camera (FSC) is low.
