EGR Pipe Removal/Installation: Notes

  1. Disconnect the negative battery termina1. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  2. Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT .)
  3. Remove the EGR cooler. (See EGR COOLER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Remove the air cleaner. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Remove the bolts shown in the illustration and set the water pipe aside.

  6. Remove in the order indicated in the table.

    COMPONENT DESCRIPTION

    1 Water hose No. 1
    (See WATER HOSE NO. 1 INSTALLATION NOTE .)
    2 Water hose No. 2
    (See WATER HOSE NO. 2 INSTALLATION NOTE .)
    3 EGR pipe
  7. Install in the reverse order of remova1.
