PID/DATA Monitor Inspection

- Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
- Start the engine.
- Access the following PIDs using the M-MDS. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST
.)
- IFT1 (fuel temperature sensor (built into fuel injector No. 1))
- IFT2 (fuel temperature sensor (built into fuel injector No. 2))
- IFT3 (fuel temperature sensor (built into fuel injector No. 3))
- IFT4 (fuel temperature sensor (built into fuel injector No. 4))
- When increasing the engine speed, verify that the PID values for IFT1/IFT2/IFT3/IFT4 increase.
- If the PID values do not increase, replace the applicable fuel injector. (See FUEL INJECTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
