Rear Window Glass Installation Note

Install the shim according to the number verified prior to removal.
Install the rear window glass with the alignment marks aligned.
Perform the retractable fastback adjustment. (See RETRACTABLE FASTBACK ADJUSTMENT ).
1. Using the retractable fastback switch, keep the front roof half-open.

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION )
3. Disconnect the connector.

4. Remove the caps.

5. Place alignment marks on the rear window glass and rear window glass installation nut.
  NOTE:
  - If the rear window glass is to be used, positioning and adjustment during installation will be easier by placing marks for the installation before removal.
  NOTE:
  - Placing marks is not necessary if the rear window glass is to be replaced with a new one because there will be no marked positions.
6. Remove the nuts and washers.

7. Remove the shims.
8. Remove the rear window glass.
9. Install in the reverse order of removal. (See REAR WINDOW GLASS INSTALLATION NOTE )
