Rear Seat Cushion Removal/Installation: Notes

CAUTION:

• When performing the procedure with a rear seat cushion removed from the vehicle, perform the procedure on a clean cloth so as not to damage or soil the seat.

NOTE:

• When removing the rear seat cushion, perform the procedure in the posture shown in the figure below.

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal, (with rear seat warmer system) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
2. Fold the rear seat back.
3. Disconnect the connectors, (with rear seat warmer system)

4. Move the lever in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure below, and lift up the rear seat cushion in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure below while releasing the lock.

5. Move the hook in the direction of arrow (4) shown in the figure below, and set it aside from the center hinge while moving the rear seat cushion in the direction of arrow (3) shown in the figure below.

6. Remove the rear seat cushion in the direction of arrow (5) shown in the figure below.
7. Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Rear Seat Installation Note .)
