Front Buckle Removal/Installation

WARNING:

Handling the front seat (with side air bag module) improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bag, which may seriously injure you. Switch the ignition off.
Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
Remove the front seat. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
Disconnect the front buckle connector.

Remove the bolt.

Remove the front buckle.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Verify that the air bag/seat belt pre-tensioner system warning light illuminates for approx. 6 s and turns off.
- If the air bag/seat belt pre-tensioner system warning light does not operate normally, refer to the on-board diagnostic system (air bag system) and perform inspection of the system.
