Driver's Side: Notes
- Fully close the door glass.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
).
- Remove the following parts:
- Door trim (See DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
).
- Door module panel (See DOOR MODULE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
).
- Door key cylinder (See DOOR KEY CYLINDER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Disconnect the keyless antenna connector. (with advanced keyless entry system)

- While pulling the outer handle bracket pin in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull the outer handle in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the outer handle bracket pin and the outer handle.

- Remove the outer handle in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure.

- While pressing the tabs of the clip in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, press it in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the connector tabs from the outer handle bracket. (with advanced keyless entry system)

- Loosen the screw securing the outer handle bracket.

NOTE:
- The screw cannot be removed because the outer handle bracket has a stopper which prevents the screw from falling.
- Pull the outer handle bracket in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure and detach the outer handle bracket hooks from the body.

- Lift the outer handle bracket in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure to pull the rod out of the rod holder. (See
Outer handle bracket installation note ).

- Remove the outer handle bracket.
- Remove the handle seat from the body.
