Diagnostic Procedure

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step Inspection Action
1 VERIFY ELECTRIC POWER STEERING (EPS) CONTROL MODULE DTCs Yes Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
(See ELECTRIC POWER STEERING (EPS) ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS .)
No Go to the next step.
2 VERIFY IF MALFUNCTIONING LOCATION IS ELECTRIC POWER STEERING (EPS) CONTROL MODULE DEPENDING ON REPEATABILITY Yes Replace the electric power steering (EPS) control module, then go to the next step.
(See STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
No Go to Step 4.
3 VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED Yes Replace the blind spot monitoring (BSM) control module, then go to the next step.
(See BLIND SPOT MONITORING (BSM) CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
No Go to the next step.
4 VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED
  • Are any other DTCs displayed?
Yes Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.

No DTC troubleshooting completed.
