Front Seat Back Trim Removal/Installation: Installation

  1. Align the front seat back trim with the installation hole of the front seat back pad, and install the C-rings in the order of (1), (2), (3), (4), (5), (6), (7), and (8) shown in the figure.
    CAUTION:
    • If a C-ring is damaged while removing or installing the front seat back trim and front seat back pad, it may not be possible to install the front seat back trim and front seat back pad normally. When removing or installing the front seat back trim and front seat back pad, be careful not to damage the C-rings.
    • If a C-ring is damaged, replace it with a new one.
    NOTE:
    • Wrinkling can be easily prevented by installing the C-rings with a certain amount of tightening.

  2. Fasten the zipper.
  3. Press the front seat back pad inward while pulling the front seat back trim outward.

  4. Install the front seat back trim and the front seat back pad as a single unit to the front seat back frame.

  5. Pull out the front seat back pad, front seat back trim, and front seat back warmer wiring harness (with seat warmer system) rearward of the front seat.

  6. Pass the wiring harnesses shown in the figure through the holes in the front seat back pad.

  7. Move the clip in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure and install the side air bag module securing belt to the front seat back frame.

  8. Press the pin in the direction of arrow (2) shown in the figure.
  9. Install the pole guides to the front seat back frame.

  10. Align the front seat back trim with the installation hole of the front seat back pad, and install the C-rings.
    CAUTION:
    • If a C-ring is damaged while removing or installing the front seat back trim and front seat back pad, it may not be possible to install the front seat back trim and front seat back pad normally. When removing or installing the front seat back trim and front seat back pad, be careful not to damage the C-rings.
    • If a C-ring is damaged, replace it with a new one.
    NOTE:
    • Wrinkling can be easily prevented by installing the C-rings with a certain amount of tightening.

  11. Fasten the zippers.
  12. Install the lumbar support lever in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the figure and install the clip in the direction of the arrow (2). (With manual lumbar support lever)

  13. Align the front seat back trim with the shape of the front seat back pad while pressing the front seat back pad outward.

  14. Press the cleaved area of the front seat back in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure and move the cleaved area of the front seat back in the direction of arrows (2) while removing the wrinkles on the front seat back.

  15. Pull the front seat back trim in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove the wrinkles on the front seat back trim.

  16. Move hook A in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and install it to hook B.

  17. Connect the connectors shown in the figure.

  18. Install the clip.
  19. Install the fasteners and install the front seat cushion trim to the front seat cushion frame. (With power seat system/with position memory system)

  20. Move the hook in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure and install the front seat cushion trim to the front seat cushion frame. (Without power seat system/without position memory system)
  21. Install the front seat. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  22. Install the headrest.
  23. Connect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min. or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
  24. When the passenger's seat is removed, perform the DTC inspection for the SAS control module using the M-MDS and verify that no DTCs are displayed. (See DTC INSPECTION [SAS CONTROL MODULE (TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM)] .)
    NOTE:
  25. When the passenger's seat is replaced with a new one, perform the occupant classification sensor calibration using the M-MDS. (See OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR CALIBRATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .)
