Without Electric Parking Brake

  1. Perform SAS control module configuration when replacing it. (See SAS CONTROL MODULE CONFIGURATION (USING READ/WRITE FUNCTION) [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .)
  2. Switch the ignition off.
  3. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
  4. Remove the following parts:
    1. Upper panel (See UPPER PANEL REMOVAL .) (See UPPER PANEL INSTALLATION .)
    2. Rear console (See REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    3. Parking brake lever (See PARKING BRAKE LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Remove the bolts.

  6. Set the bracket out of the way.
  7. Disconnect the SAS control module connectors.

  8. Remove the nuts.
  9. Remove the SAS control module.
  10. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  11. Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
  12. Verify that the air bag/seat belt pre-tensioner system warning light illuminates for approx. 6 s and turns off.
  13. Perform the DSC related parts sensor initialization procedure (only when replacing the SAS control module with a new one). (See DSC RELATED PARTS SENSOR INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE .)
  14. Perform the MRCC initialization setting. (See MRCC INITIALIZATION SETTING .)
    NOTE:
