With Electric Parking Brake

- Perform SAS control module configuration when replacing it. (See SAS CONTROL MODULE CONFIGURATION (USING READ/WRITE FUNCTION) [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .)
- Switch the ignition off.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5] .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Upper panel (See UPPER PANEL REMOVAL .) (See UPPER PANEL INSTALLATION .)
- Rear console (See REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Electric parking brake control module (See ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the harness clip.
- Remove the bolt A.
- Remove the bolts B.
- Remove the electric parking brake control module bracket.
- Connect the SAS control module connectors.
- Remove the nuts.
- Remove the SAS control module.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
- Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
- Verify that the air bag/seat belt pre-tensioner system warning light illuminates for approx. 6 s and turns off.
- If the air bag/seat belt pre-tensioner system warning light does not operate normally, refer to the on-board diagnostic system (air bag system) and perform inspection of the system. (See FLOWCHART [SAS CONTROL MODULE (TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM)] .)
- Perform the DSC related parts sensor initialization procedure (only when replacing the SAS control module with a new one). (See DSC RELATED PARTS SENSOR INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE .)
- Perform the MRCC initialization setting. (See MRCC INITIALIZATION SETTING

- If configuration cannot be performed by reading/writing of the vehicle specification information, perform the configuration using As-Built information after replacing the SAS control module. (See SAS CONTROL MODULE CONFIGURATION (USING AS-BUILT DATA) [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM] .)
