DTC C1A96:62 (VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

- The vehicle control module detects that the brake switch signal and the brake fluid pressure value are incompatible.

| Fail-safe |
- Inhibits the Mazda radar cruise control (MRCC) system control
- Inhibits the forward obstruction warning (FOW) system control

| Possible cause |
- Brake switch malfunction
- Malfunction in circuit between brake switch and PCM and PCM
- DSC HU/CM malfunction
- Signal error in circuit between PCM and vehicle control module (V/C-module)
- Signal error in circuit between DSC HU/CM and vehicle control module (V/C-module)
- Vehicle control module (V/C-module) malfunction
